La Maison MAATÏ MAATÏ

A Spiritual Luxury House

MAATÏ MAATÏ is based on the Ionian Islands, a quiet archipelago along the western edge of Greece where Europe has long come to retreat, think and begin again.

Here, between Mandouri Island (once home to the poet Aristotelis Valaoritis) and Skorpios, the former private island of Aristotle Onassis, the Ionian Sea carries the memory of another rhythm of life. There was a time when Maria Callas arrived here by boat, when Jackie Kennedy spent summers beneath the cypress trees, and when the Ionian coast quietly gathered artists, shipowners, intellectuals and old European families escaping the noise of the continent. That atmosphere has never fully disappeared.

The sea remains impossibly clear.
The light moves slowly across the mountains.
Life follows the pace of wind and water.

Just beyond these shores lies Ithaki - the mythical homeland of Odysseus - where Homer’s Odyssey reminds us that every meaningful journey ultimately leads back to what is essential.

It is within this landscape that MAATÏ MAATÏ now operates.

From Berlin to the Ionian Sea, the Maison continues its evolution: designing objects and rituals shaped by both cultural depth, frequency and elemental simplicity.
